Lead and coordinate various environmental programs and initiatives for the City of Austin.
Develop and implement strategies to promote sustainability and protect the environment.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve program goals and objectives.
Plan and organize events, workshops, and educational programs to engage the community in environmental conservation efforts.
Conduct research and stay updated on current environmental issues and regulations.
Prepare reports and presentations to communicate program progress and outcomes.
Manage program budgets and resources effectively.
Evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
Serve as a point of contact for inquiries and concerns related to environmental programs.
Stay informed about funding opportunities and assist in grant writing and proposal development.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in environmental sustainability.
Represent the City of Austin at meetings, conferences, and other events related to environmental programs.
Train and supervise program staff and volunteers.
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
Continuously strive to improve and innovate existing programs and identify new opportunities for environmental impact.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Science, Public Policy, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Environmental Program Coordination Or Related Field.
Knowledge Of Local, State, And Federal Environmental Regulations And Policies.
Strong Project Management Skills, Including Budgeting And Timelines.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Diverse Stakeholders.
