  1. Develop and implement effective public health programs and initiatives in collaboration with city officials, community partners, and local healthcare providers.
  2. Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify community health needs and develop evidence-based programs to address them.
  3. Coordinate and manage program budgets, timelines, and resources.
  4. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement effective communication and marketing strategies to promote program awareness and participation.
  5. Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and make necessary adjustments to ensure desired outcomes are achieved.
  6. Stay up-to-date with current public health trends, research, and best practices to inform program development and implementation.
  7. Serve as a subject matter expert on public health principles and practices, providing guidance and support to colleagues and community partners.
  8. Build and maintain positive relationships with community partners, including healthcare providers, non-profit organizations, and government agencies.
  9. Represent the City of Austin at community events and meetings, advocating for public health initiatives and promoting program goals and objectives.
  10. Provide training and support to program staff and volunteers, ensuring their understanding and adherence to program goals and protocols.
  11. Develop and maintain accurate program records and reports, utilizing data to inform decision-making and program improvements.
  12. Foster a culture of equity, diversity, and inclusion within the program and the community.
  13. Adhere to all relevant laws and regulations related to public health program development and implementation.
  14. Identify and address any potential barriers to program success, seeking creative solutions to overcome challenges.
  15. Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and growth to enhance skills and knowledge related to public health program coordination.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Public Health, Health Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Program Coordination Or Management In A Public Health Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Local, State, And Federal Public Health Policies And Regulations.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Community Partners And Stakeholders.

  • Experience In Data Collection, Analysis, And Reporting To Track Program Outcomes And Make Evidence-Based Decisions.
