
Temporary-Culture Arts Activity Specialist (Fall & Winter Programs/Multiple Positions/PARD)

The City of Austin's Parks and Recreation Department (PARD) is seeking experienced and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Temporary-Culture Arts Activity Specialists for our Fall and Winter programs. - Lead and facilitate cultural arts activities for community members of all ages.
- Inspire and engage participants through creative and diverse programming.
- Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all participants.
- Develop lesson plans and curriculum based on cultural arts themes and educational objectives.
- Collaborate with other activity specialists and community partners to enhance programming.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of program participants at all times.
- Encourage and support the exploration of different artistic mediums and techniques.
- Provide guidance and feedback to participants to help improve their skills and knowledge.
- Promote cultural diversity and understanding through the arts.
- Maintain a clean and organized activity space.
- Communicate effectively with program coordinators, fellow staff members, and participants.
- Adhere to all rules, policies, and procedures set by the City of Austin and PARD.
- Attend and actively participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
- Represent the City of Austin and PARD in a professional and positive manner.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve and enhance the cultural arts programming.
Bachelor's Degree In Fine Arts, Art Education, Or Related Field.
Previous Experience Teaching Or Leading Cultural Arts Activities.
Knowledge Of Various Art Forms And Techniques, Including But Not Limited To Painting, Drawing, Sculpture, And Mixed Media.
Familiarity With Planning And Implementing Programming For Diverse Age Groups And Skill Levels.
Excellent Communication And Organizational Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Other Staff And Community Members.
