- Manage all aspects of grant accounting for the City of Columbia-SC, including tracking, monitoring, and reporting on all grants received.
- Ensure compliance with all grant regulations and reporting requirements, including timely and accurate submission of financial reports.
- Conduct thorough financial analysis of grant funds, including budgeting, forecasting, and identifying any discrepancies or areas for improvement.
- Work closely with grant funding agencies and stakeholders to ensure proper allocation and utilization of grant funds.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all grant-related financial transactions.
- Proactively identify potential issues or challenges with grant funding and develop solutions to address them.
- Collaborate with other departments within the City to ensure proper integration of grant funds into overall financial planning.
- Regularly review and update grant accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Provide training and support to other City staff on grant accounting processes and procedures.
- Stay informed on changes in grant regulations and reporting requirements, and communicate these updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Participate in audits and provide necessary documentation and support to ensure the accuracy and transparency of grant accounting.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment within the finance team and across departments.
- Continuously seek out opportunities for improvement and efficiency in grant accounting processes.
- Represent the City of Columbia-SC in a professional and responsible manner at all times.
Bachelor's Degree In Accounting Or Related Field
Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Grant Accounting And Compliance
In-Depth Knowledge Of Federal And State Grant Regulations And Reporting Requirements
Proficiency In Financial Management Software And Microsoft Excel
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With Attention To Detail And Accuracy.
