As a Parking Meter Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient use of parking meters throughout the city.   1. Monitor and maintain parking meters throughout the city to ensure proper functioning and accuracy.
  2. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on parking meters to identify and address any issues or malfunctions.
  3. Respond to and resolve customer complaints or concerns related to parking meters in a timely and professional manner.
  4. Keep accurate and detailed records of parking meter maintenance and repairs.
  5. Collaborate with other departments, such as finance and public works, to ensure proper billing and collection of parking meter fees.
  6. Educate and inform the public about parking meter regulations and procedures.
  7. Assist with the installation and removal of parking meters as needed.
  8. Proactively identify areas where additional parking meters may be needed to improve efficiency and maximize revenue.
  9. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in parking meter technology.
  10. Serve as a point of contact for parking meter vendors and contractors.
  11. Train and supervise new parking meter technicians as needed.
  12. Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  13. Collaborate with law enforcement and parking enforcement personnel to address any parking violations or issues.
  14. Continuously seek ways to improve and streamline parking meter operations.
