As a Trainee, you will receive hands-on training and mentorship from experienced operators while gaining valuable experience in the water treatment industry.   • Receive hands-on training and mentorship from experienced operators
  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the water treatment plant
  • Learn and adhere to all safety protocols and procedures
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment
  • Monitor and adjust the chemical treatment process to meet required standards
  • Record and maintain accurate data on plant operations, water quality, and equipment performance
  • Assist with conducting quality control tests and analyzing results
  • Participate in emergency response and troubleshooting situations as needed

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Educational Requirement For This Position Would Be A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures A Basic Level Of Understanding Of Math, Science, And Technical Skills Necessary For The Job.

  • Relevant Training Or Certification: The Ideal Candidate Would Have Some Training Or Certification In Water Treatment Or Related Fields. This Could Include Completion Of A Water Treatment Program, Certification From A Professional Organization, Or Relevant Coursework.

  • Basic Computer Skills: In Today's World, Technology Plays A Crucial Role In Water Treatment Facilities. Therefore, Proficiency In Basic Computer Skills, Such As Data Entry And Operating Specialized Software, Is A Necessary Qualification For This Position.

  • Physical Ability: This Job Requires A Significant Amount Of Physical Activity, Including Lifting Heavy Equipment, Climbing Ladders, And Working In Confined Spaces. Candidates Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Perform These Duties Safely.

  • Strong Communication Skills: As A Water Plant Operator-Trainee, You Will Work Closely With A Team And Communicate With Other Departments Within The City. Therefore, Excellent Communication Skills, Both Verbal And Written, Are Essential For This Position. This Includes The Ability To Effectively Convey Technical Information To Non-Technical Staff And The Public.
