
Director of Risk Management
Identify the City's exposures in the areas of physical, legal, operational, political, social, economic technological and internal environments. Monitor and report on the frequency and severity of claims; coordinate and prioritizes claims workload through ongoing assessment and staff management, and provide assistance as necessary. Ensure the development and maintenance of claims handling procedures and program enhancements to streamline claims processing and mitigate loss. Financial evaluation of agencies and departments. Oversee Compliance of financial and operational performance measures. Drives functional enhancements to planning and forecasting processes and activities and ensures best practices are used by subordinates, agencies, and other departments. Consults with other managers to ensure that budget adjustments are made in accordance with program changes.
At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in Risk Management, compliance, or insurance claim management
At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
