  1. Oversee the daily operations of the Public Works department to ensure efficient and effective delivery of services to the community.

  3. Manage and allocate department resources, including budget, personnel, and equipment, to maintain and improve the city's infrastructure.

  8. Stay informed of industry best practices and emerging trends in public works management, and recommend innovative solutions for the city's infrastructure challenges.
  9. Prepare and present reports, proposals, and recommendations to city leadership and officials.
  10. Serve as a representative of the city and the Public Works department at various community events, meetings, and conferences.
  11. Foster positive relationships with city residents, businesses, and other stakeholders to address concerns and promote community engagement.
  12. Uphold the city's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of department operations and decision-making processes.
  13. Maintain accurate records and documentation for all department activities and expenditures.
  14. Ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all department employees, adhering to all relevant safety protocols and regulations.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Civil Engineering Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 7 Years Of Experience In Public Works Management Or A Similar Role.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Local, State, And Federal Laws And Regulations Related To Public Works.

  • Excellent Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Manage A Diverse Team And Collaborate With Other City Departments.

  • Proven Track Record Of Successfully Managing Large-Scale Public Works Projects, Including Budgeting, Planning, And Implementation.
