  1. Prepare and maintain accurate financial records for the City of Honolulu.
  2. Conduct regular audits of financial transactions to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
  3. Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management and government agencies.
  4. Process and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  5. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless financial operations.
  6. Manage and monitor budget allocations and expenditures.
  7. Keep up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and regulations.
  8. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  9. Respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders regarding financial matters.
  10. Ensure timely and accurate completion of financial tasks, such as tax filings and financial statements.
  11. Participate in the development of financial policies and procedures.
  12. Train and mentor junior accounting staff.
  13. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with integrity.
  14. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Finance Director.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Accounting Or Related Field

  • Cpa Certification

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Accounting Or Financial Management

  • Proficiency In Accounting Software, Such As Quickbooks Or Sap, And Microsoft Excel
