  1. Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent to the City of Honolulu.
  2. Conduct thorough and fair screening and selection processes to ensure the best candidates are hired for open positions.
  3. Collaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements and create accurate job descriptions.
  4. Stay updated on local, state, and federal employment laws to ensure compliance in all hiring and employment practices.
  5. Manage the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for all.
  6. Develop and facilitate training programs for employees to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  7. Administer and manage employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
  8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel records for all employees.

  13. Handle employee relations issues with sensitivity and professionalism, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
  14. Conduct exit interviews and analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the organization.
  15. Assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to human resources and employment.
  16. Maintain a positive and welcoming work environment that reflects the values and mission of the City of Honolulu.
  17. Keep accurate and organized records of all HR activities and reports as needed.
  18. Continuously seek ways to streamline processes and improve efficiency within the HR department.
  19. Collaborate with other HR team members to ensure consistency and alignment across all HR functions.
  20. Represent the City of Honolulu in a professional manner at job fairs, conferences, and other events related to human resources and employment.

Job Qualifications
  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills.
