
Boiler Operator
Welcome to the City of Jersey City! We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Boiler Operator to join our team. As a crucial member of our facilities management department, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing our various boiler systems to ensure they are running efficiently and safely. - Operate and maintain various boiler systems in the City of Jersey City to ensure efficient and safe operation.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on boilers to identify and address any potential issues or malfunctions.
- Monitor and record boiler performance, including temperature, pressure, and fuel consumption, to ensure optimal operation.
- Troubleshoot and repair boiler malfunctions, including replacing parts and components as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure the safety of yourself and others while operating and maintaining boilers.
- Maintain accurate records of boiler maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
- Assist in the development and implementation of preventative maintenance plans for boilers.
- Collaborate with other members of the facilities management team to coordinate repairs and maintenance schedules.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure all equipment and tools are properly maintained.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all occupants and visitors of City of Jersey City facilities.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in boiler technology and techniques.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to report any issues and discuss potential solutions.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Attend training and development programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Operating And Maintaining Boilers
Possession Of A Valid Boiler Operator's License Issued By The State Of New Jersey
Knowledge Of Boiler Systems, Safety Procedures, And Maintenance Practices
Ability To Read And Interpret Technical Manuals And Blueprints Related To Boilers
