- Provide exceptional customer service to residents of Jersey City, handling inquiries and concerns with a high level of professionalism and empathy
- Utilize excellent communication skills to effectively and efficiently address and resolve customer issues or complaints
- Maintain a thorough understanding of all city services and resources in order to accurately assist residents with their inquiries
- Collaborate with other departments and team members to ensure prompt and satisfactory resolutions for customers
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of customer interactions and resolutions
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve and streamline customer service processes
- Stay up-to-date on city policies, procedures, and regulations in order to provide accurate information to customers
- Train and mentor new or junior customer service representatives as needed
- Assist with developing and implementing customer service training programs for the department
- Participate in departmental meetings and provide feedback to contribute to the improvement of customer service processes and procedures
- Display a positive and professional attitude at all times, representing the City of Jersey City in a positive light.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Customer Service Role, With At Least 2 Years In A Senior Or Supervisory Position.
Strong Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, With The Ability To Effectively Interact With A Diverse Customer Base.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Customer Service Principles And Practices, Including Conflict Resolution And Handling Difficult Situations.
Proficiency In Computer Systems And Software, Including Crm And Ticketing Systems.
Demonstrated Ability To Lead And Mentor A Team, With A Focus On Providing Exceptional Customer Service And Achieving Performance Goals.
