Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly qualified Pool Manager to oversee our city's pool facilities and ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all patrons.   1. Manage and oversee all operations at the City of Las Vegas pool facilities.
  2. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the safety of all patrons.
  3. Hire, train, and supervise a team of lifeguards and other pool staff.
  4. Create and maintain schedules for lifeguards and other pool staff.
  5. Monitor pool activities and ensure that all rules and regulations are being followed.
  6. Maintain proper pool chemical levels and ensure overall pool cleanliness.
  7. Collaborate with the city's Parks and Recreation department to plan and execute aquatic programs and events.
  8. Conduct regular inspections of pool facilities to identify and address any maintenance or safety issues.
  9. Manage pool equipment and supplies, including ordering and inventory.
  10. Respond to and resolve any patron concerns or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  11. Maintain accurate records and reports related to pool operations and attendance.
  12. Stay updated on industry standards and best practices for pool management.
  13. Work closely with the city's budget department to develop and manage the pool facilities budget.
  14. Promote and market the pool facilities to increase usage and revenue.
  15. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to pool operations.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Pool Management, Preferably In A Municipal Setting.

  • Current Certification In Lifeguarding, First Aid, And Cpr From A Recognized Organization.

  • Knowledge Of Pool Maintenance And Safety Procedures, Including Chemical Testing And Balancing, Equipment Maintenance, And Emergency Response Protocols.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Train And Supervise A Team Of Lifeguards And Pool Staff.

  • Familiarity With Local And State Regulations Related To Pool Operations And Safety, Including Ada Compliance And Health Codes.
