  1. Oversee and manage complex engineering projects from conception to completion.
  2. Develop and implement innovative and sustainable engineering solutions for the City of Las Vegas.
  3. Ensure that all projects adhere to engineering principles and practices.
  4. Lead and supervise a team of engineering professionals to ensure project success.
  5. Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure project alignment with overall city goals and objectives.
  6. Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify potential issues and risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  7. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resources.
  8. Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to management and stakeholders.
  9. Review and approve engineering plans, designs, and specifications.
  10. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
  11. Identify areas for improvement and recommend process enhancements.
  12. Mentor and train junior engineering staff.
  13. Foster a culture of teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement within the engineering department.
  14. Represent the City of Las Vegas at meetings, conferences, and other events related to engineering.
  15. Stay informed of industry developments and advancements, and incorporate them into project planning and execution.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Engineering Or Related Field From An Accredited University

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Engineering Or Related Field

  • Professional Engineer (Pe) License Or Ability To Obtain Within 6 Months Of Employment

  • Knowledge And Experience With Engineering Software And Tools Such As Autocad, Gis, And Project Management Software

  • Strong Communication Skills And Ability To Work Collaboratively With Team Members And External Stakeholders.
