
Park Maintenance Worker

- Perform regular maintenance tasks such as mowing, weeding, trimming, and pruning in various city parks.
- Operate and maintain various equipment and tools necessary for park maintenance, such as lawn mowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness and safety of park facilities, including restrooms, playgrounds, and picnic areas.
- Report any safety hazards or maintenance needs to appropriate supervisors.
- Assist with special projects and events, such as park clean-ups, tree planting, and other community initiatives.
- Work closely with other park maintenance workers and city officials to ensure the highest level of park maintenance and customer service.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance tasks and equipment usage.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures while operating equipment and performing tasks.
- Continuously seek ways to improve park maintenance processes and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with park visitors and address any concerns or complaints in a professional manner.
- Maintain a positive attitude and represent the City of O'Fallon with pride and professionalism.
- Attend trainings and workshops to stay updated on park maintenance techniques and equipment operation.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Experience In Landscaping And Groundskeeping: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Previous Experience In Maintaining Parks And Other Outdoor Spaces, Including Knowledge Of Proper Plant Care, Irrigation Systems, And Lawn Equipment Operation.
Physical Fitness And Stamina: This Job Requires A Significant Amount Of Physical Labor, Including Lifting Heavy Objects, Operating Machinery, And Working In Various Weather Conditions. The Candidate Should Be In Good Physical Condition And Able To Perform These Tasks Without Difficulty.
Knowledge Of Safety Procedures: Park Maintenance Workers Must Follow Strict Safety Protocols To Prevent Accidents And Injuries. The Candidate Should Have Knowledge Of Safety Procedures And Be Able To Identify Potential Hazards In The Park.
