Housing Specialist Trainee
The Housing Specialist Trainee is the training level class within the Housing Specialist series responsible for performing the routine clerical and office functions specific to Housing Authority Programs such as Public Housing operations, Housing Choice Voucher operations, and Housing Assistance programs. Provides housing location assistance including aiding program participants with filling out applications and identifying relocation resources. Performs field and office work to provide a variety of subsidized low-income housing services including recruitment and engagement of landlords and property management companies, to identify potential rental properties.
One year of office experience within a social service program
Two years of clerical experience within a public sector environment or closely related work preferred
The ability to speak, read and write Spanish and English fluently is highly desirable.
