Job Description

The City of Philadelphia is looking for an experienced and creative City Planner Manager to join our dynamic team. As a City Planner Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning and development of the City of Philadelphia's urban environment, with a focus on community engagement, economic development, and sustainability. The ideal candidate must be a strong leader with a demonstrated commitment to planning and development initiatives, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a passion for cities. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of stakeholders to shape the future of the City of Philadelphia.Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Urban Design, or closely related field• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in urban planning and development• Comprehensive knowledge of urban planning and design principles, zoning regulations, and development processes• Experience leading public involvement processes • Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills• Ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet goals and objectives• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously• Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders • Proficiency with GIS, AutoCAD, and other software related to urban planning and developmentWe are looking for a City Planner Manager who is passionate about the City of Philadelphia and is committed to making it a better place for all.
