Job Description

The City of Philadelphia is seeking an innovative, experienced and passionate professional to join their Human Resources, IT Talent and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion team as the Director HR, IT Talent & DEI. The successful candidate will have the unique opportunity to provide leadership and vision in developing and executing strategies that support and enhance the City’s ability to attract, recruit, retain, and develop a diverse and inclusive workforce.The ideal candidate for this role will have experience leading a HR team and/or IT Talent & DEI initiatives, strong knowledge of labor relations, and the ability to develop and effectively communicate strategies and objectives to a variety of stakeholders. The successful candidate will be a highly effective communicator, possess strong problem-solving skills, and be an excellent team player with a commitment to the mission of the City of Philadelphia.Required Qualifications:• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.• At least 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience, with a focus on IT Talent and DEI initiatives.• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategies related to recruitment, retention, and diversity and inclusion.• Excellent knowledge and understanding of HR laws and regulations, labor relations, and employee relations.• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders and build relationships with internal and external partners.• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing HR team.• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.• A commitment to the mission of the City of Philadelphia.
