  1. Oversee the city's environmental review processes and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and guidelines.
  2. Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to environmental reviews and ensure they are up-to-date and in line with current regulations.
  3. Review development projects and assess their potential environmental impacts.
  4. Collaborate with other city departments and external agencies to ensure a coordinated and efficient review process.
  5. Advise and guide developers and project teams on environmental regulations and requirements.
  6. Conduct site visits and inspections to assess environmental conditions and identify potential issues.
  7. Prepare and submit reports and recommendations to city officials and decision-making bodies.
  8. Stay updated on new and changing environmental regulations and integrate them into the review process.
  9. Maintain accurate and organized records of all environmental review activities.
  10. Serve as a liaison between the city and state or federal agencies regarding environmental review processes.
  11. Communicate with community members and stakeholders to address any concerns or questions related to the environmental review process.
  12. Train and supervise staff members involved in the environmental review process.
  13. Participate in public outreach and education initiatives to promote environmental awareness and compliance.
  14. Collaborate with other city departments to develop and implement sustainable practices and initiatives.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Science, Environmental Policy, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Environmental Review And Compliance, Preferably In A Municipal Or Government Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Federal, State And Local Environmental Regulations, Including Nepa, Cwa, And Caa.

  • Strong Analytical And Critical Thinking Skills, With The Ability To Assess Potential Environmental Impacts And Propose Mitigation Measures.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Stakeholders, Government Officials, And Community Members.
