- Prepare and issue citations, fines, and other enforcement actions as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of investigations, enforcement actions, and other relevant information.
- Stay current on environmental laws and regulations and make recommendations for updates or changes as needed.
- Assist in developing and implementing environmental compliance programs and initiatives.
- Provide guidance and assistance to other city departments and staff on environmental regulations and best practices.
- Collaborate with legal counsel to prepare and present cases in court as needed.
- Conduct outreach and education to community members and businesses on environmental regulations and compliance.
- Identify and report potential environmental hazards and concerns to appropriate agencies.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in environmental enforcement.
Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Environmental Enforcement Or Compliance.
Knowledge Of Local, State, And Federal Environmental Laws And Regulations.
Ability To Effectively Communicate With Diverse Stakeholders, Including Community Members, Government Officials, And Industry Representatives.
Strong Analytical Skills And Attention To Detail For Conducting Thorough Investigations And Writing Detailed Reports.
