- Attend trainings and meetings to enhance skills and knowledge in the field of mental health support.
- Serve as a positive role model for individuals in recovery.
- Adhere to ethical and confidentiality guidelines when working with clients.
- Advocate for the needs and rights of individuals with mental illness in the community.
- Support and contribute to a team-oriented and inclusive work environment.
- Keep accurate records and reports related to client interactions and services provided.
- Attend regular supervision and team meetings to discuss client cases and service delivery.
- Participate in community outreach and education initiatives to promote mental health awareness and reduce stigma.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Personal Lived Experience With Mental Health And/Or Substance Use Challenges.
Completion Of A Recognized Peer Support Specialist Training Program.
Knowledge Of Community Resources And Ability To Connect Individuals To Appropriate Services.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Establish Trusting Relationships With Diverse Populations.
Ability To Work Independently, As Well As Collaboratively With A Team, To Support Individuals In Their Recovery Journey.
