Urban Forestry Tree Inspector (Tree Inspector)

The City of Portland, Oregon is looking for a highly motivated Urban Forestry Tree Inspector (Tree Inspector) to join our Urban Forestry team. This position requires a broad range of experience and expertise in the field of tree inspection, urban forestry, and arboriculture. The successful candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and customer service, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with other City departments and community partners.We are looking for a candidate who holds a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Arboriculture, Urban Forestry, or a related field, as well as at least two years of experience in tree inspection, urban forestry, or arboriculture. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of tree species identification and tree risk assessment, as well as the ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts in a professional manner.
