- Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, businesses, and organizations within the City of Reno.
- Proactively seek out community members and stakeholders to gather feedback and information on community needs and concerns.
- Act as a liaison between the City and its residents, businesses, and organizations, providing timely and accurate information and assistance.
- Plan and organize community events and initiatives to promote community engagement and inclusivity.
- Collaborate with various departments within the City to address and resolve community issues.
- Serve as a resource for community members, providing information and referrals to appropriate resources and services.
- Communicate effectively with diverse groups and individuals, utilizing various communication methods such as social media, newsletters, and community meetings.
- Monitor and report on community trends, concerns, and feedback to relevant City departments.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance community involvement and participation in City initiatives and projects.
- Stay updated on relevant City policies, programs, and initiatives to effectively represent and promote them to the community.
Bachelor's Degree In Public Administration, Communications, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Community Outreach, Public Relations, Or Related Field.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Engage And Build Relationships With Diverse Community Groups.
Knowledge Of Local Government Processes And Procedures, As Well As Community Issues And Concerns.
Ability To Handle Sensitive And Confidential Information With Discretion And Professionalism.
