- Perform pesticide application duties in accordance with city and state regulations and policies.
- Monitor and assess pest infestations and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Apply pesticides safely and accurately using proper techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of pesticide usage, application sites, and results.
- Work closely with city officials and other team members to identify and address pest control needs.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest research and techniques related to pesticide application and integrated pest management.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations.
- Handle and store pesticides properly to prevent harm to people, animals, and the environment.
- Educate and inform the public about pesticide use and the city's commitment to maintaining a clean and sustainable environment.
- Maintain equipment and report any malfunctions or needed repairs.
- Assist with other environmental conservation initiatives and projects as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to coordinate work and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Uphold the city's values of integrity, accountability, and environmental stewardship in all aspects of the job.
- Continuously evaluate and improve pesticide application methods to increase efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
- Attend training and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills related to pesticide application and environmental conservation.
Possession Of A Valid Pesticide Applicator License Issued By The California Department Of Pesticide Regulation.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Pesticide Application, Preferably In A Municipal Setting.
Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Regulations Pertaining To Pesticide Use And Safety.
Ability To Read And Interpret Pesticide Labels And Safety Data Sheets.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Communicate With Coworkers, Supervisors, And Members Of The Public.
