- Collaborate with attorneys and other team members to develop legal strategies and provide recommendations.
- Assist in the preparation of legal documents for hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
- Communicate complex legal concepts and information in a clear and concise manner to non-legal staff, officials, and members of the public.
- Monitor and track legal developments and changes in laws and regulations that may impact the City's operations.
- Maintain accurate and organized legal files and databases.
- Conduct legal document management, including filing, indexing, and archiving.
- Provide legal support in responding to public records requests and subpoenas.
- Assist in the preparation of training materials and presentations on legal topics for City staff.
- Collaborate with external legal counsel, as needed.
- Adhere to all ethical and confidentiality requirements.
- Proactively identify and report potential legal risks and issues to the legal team.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the City Attorney or their designee.
Bachelor's Degree In Law Or A Related Field From An Accredited University.
Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Legal Research, Analysis And Writing In A Related Field.
Knowledge Of Local, State, And Federal Laws, Regulations, And Court Procedures.
Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate Complex Legal Information To Non-Legal Professionals.
Proficiency In Relevant Legal Software Such As Lexisnexis Or Westlaw, As Well As Microsoft Office Suite.
