- Develop and implement employment programs and initiatives for the City of San Jose.
- Conduct research and analysis on employment trends and best practices to inform decision making.
- Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to ensure alignment and effectiveness of employment programs.
- Review and evaluate job classifications, salary structures, and other compensation-related matters.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on employment policies and procedures.
- Create and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employment data and statistics.
- Participate in recruitment efforts by assisting with job postings, candidate screenings, and interviews.
- Stay informed of relevant laws and regulations related to employment and ensure compliance.
- Develop and deliver training programs on employment-related topics.
- Serve as a resource for employees regarding career development and advancement opportunities.
- Monitor and analyze employee satisfaction and engagement data and make recommendations for improvement.
- Prepare reports and presentations on employment-related topics for department leadership and other stakeholders.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information.
- Act as a liaison between the Human Resources department and other departments within the City.
- Continuously seek out opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in employment practices.
Bachelor's Degree In Human Resources, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Employment Analysis Or A Related Field.
Strong Knowledge Of Employment Laws, Regulations, And Best Practices.
Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills.
Experience With Data Analysis And Reporting.
