  1. Conduct performance audits of city programs to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  2. Collaborate with city departments and stakeholders to gather data, analyze findings, and develop recommendations for improving program performance.
  3. Conduct research and stay up-to-date on best practices and industry standards in program performance auditing.
  4. Develop and maintain audit plans and schedules to ensure timely and thorough completion of audits.
  5. Prepare comprehensive audit reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to city leadership and other stakeholders.
  6. Work with city departments to develop action plans and monitor progress towards implementing audit recommendations.
  7. Uphold ethical standards and maintain confidentiality in all audit activities.
  8. Train and mentor junior auditors on auditing techniques and best practices.
  9. Serve as a subject matter expert on program performance auditing and provide guidance and support to other city departments.
  10. Stay informed on relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to program performance and ensure compliance in all audits.
  11. Continuously evaluate and improve the program performance auditing process and procedures.
  12. Represent the city in meetings and presentations related to program performance auditing.
  13. Maintain a high level of professionalism and represent the city's values and mission in all interactions.
  14. Perform other related duties as assigned by superiors.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Program Performance Auditing, Preferably In A Government Or Public Sector Setting.

  • Professional Certification In Auditing, Such As Certified Internal Auditor (Cia) Or Certified Government Auditing Professional (Cgap).

  • Strong Knowledge Of Auditing Principles And Practices, As Well As Government Regulations And Policies.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Present Findings And Recommendations To Senior Management And Stakeholders.
