If so, the City of Santa Clara has an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Recreation Leader.As a Recreation Leader, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by planning, coordinating, and implementing a variety of recreational activities for all ages. We are looking for a dynamic individual who can bring new and innovative ideas to the table, while also maintaining the high standards of our established programs.To excel in this role, you must possess exceptional leadership skills, have a strong attention to detail, and be able to work effectively with diverse groups of people. A passion for promoting healthy and active lifestyles is also a must.Join us in making a positive impact on our community as a Recreation Leader at the City of Santa Clara.

  1. Plan, coordinate, and implement a wide range of recreational activities for all ages within the community.
  2. Develop and maintain a diverse and engaging schedule of programs and events.
  3. Collaborate with other team members to create and execute new and innovative ideas for recreational activities.
  4. Ensure all programs and events meet the standards and guidelines set by the City of Santa Clara.
  5. Take charge of event logistics, including but not limited to, scheduling, budgeting, marketing, and equipment and supply procurement.
  6. Recruit, train, and supervise a team of volunteers and staff to assist with program implementation.
  7. Foster a positive and inclusive environment, promoting healthy and active lifestyles for all residents.
  8. Establish and maintain relationships with community members, businesses, and organizations to enhance program offerings and partnerships.
  9. Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and make necessary adjustments to improve overall satisfaction.
  10. Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on program participation and outcomes.
  11. Adhere to all safety and risk management protocols to ensure the well-being of participants.
  12. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in recreational programming.
  13. Represent the City of Santa Clara and its recreational programs in a professional and positive manner at all times.
  14. Perform other related duties as assigned by superiors.
