
Water Production and Treatment Plant Supervisor

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the water production and treatment plants, ensuring that all processes are running smoothly and efficiently.
- Manage a team of operators and technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure that all employees are meeting performance standards and safety protocols.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures for the water production and treatment facilities, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Monitor and maintain equipment and supplies, scheduling regular maintenance and repairs as needed to ensure optimal functioning of the plants.
- Analyze water quality data and make adjustments to treatment processes as necessary to maintain high-quality drinking water standards.
- Collaborate with other city departments and external agencies to ensure the safety and reliability of the water supply, coordinating emergency response plans and participating in regulatory inspections.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, documenting all aspects of plant operations and treatment processes.
- Stay up-to-date on industry developments and technological advancements in water treatment and production, making recommendations for improvements and upgrades to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Manage budget and resources for the water production and treatment plants, ensuring responsible use of funds and adherence to financial goals.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work culture, promoting teamwork, open communication, and a commitment to providing high-quality drinking water to the community.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Water Production And Treatment Plant Operations.
Bachelor's Degree In Civil Or Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, Or A Related Field.
Knowledge And Understanding Of Federal, State, And Local Regulations Related To Water Treatment And Quality.
Strong Leadership And Supervisory Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Manage A Team And Prioritize Tasks.
Excellent Communication And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Handle Emergency Situations And Make Sound Decisions Under Pressure.
