  1. Collaborate with a dynamic team to plan, design, and manage public works and infrastructure projects for the City of Santa Rosa.
  2. Provide technical expertise in civil engineering principles and practices to ensure the successful completion of projects.
  3. Conduct research, analyze data, and prepare reports and recommendations for various civil engineering projects.
  4. Review and evaluate plans, specifications, and cost estimates for compliance with city standards and regulations.
  5. Coordinate with various departments and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met and timelines are followed.
  6. Assist with project budgeting and cost control measures to ensure efficient use of resources.
  7. Oversee and manage project schedules, including monitoring progress and addressing any delays or issues.
  8. Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.
  9. Collaborate with contractors, consultants, and other agencies to ensure project requirements are met.
  10. Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in civil engineering.
  11. Communicate project updates, progress, and potential issues to stakeholders, including city officials and residents.
  12. Ensure all projects are completed in a timely, safe, and cost-effective manner.
  13. Mentor and assist junior engineering staff in developing their skills and knowledge.
  14. Adhere to all safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the team.
  15. Continuously strive to improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness in project delivery.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Civil Engineering Or Related Field From An Accredited University.

  • 2-3 Years Of Experience In Civil Engineering, Preferably In A Municipal Setting.

  • Professional Engineer (Pe) License In The State Of California.

  • Proficiency In Autocad And Other Engineering Software.

  • Strong Project Management Skills And Ability To Work Collaboratively With Other Departments And Stakeholders.
