Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Housing and Community Services Manager to oversee our various programs and initiatives.   1. Develop and implement strategic plans and policies related to housing and community services, in alignment with the City's goals and objectives.
  2. Oversee and manage all housing programs, including rental assistance, affordable housing development, and homeless services.
  3. Collaborate with local agencies and organizations to identify and address the housing needs of the community.
  4. Create and maintain partnerships with landlords and property owners to increase the availability of affordable housing options.
  5. Monitor and evaluate the performance and outcomes of housing programs, and make recommendations for improvements and adjustments.
  6. Manage the budget and resources for housing and community services, ensuring efficient and effective use of funds.
  7. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines related to housing and community services.
  8. Supervise and provide guidance to a team of housing and community services staff, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
  9. Develop and maintain strong relationships with community members, advocates, and stakeholders to promote community involvement and engagement.
  10. Serve as a spokesperson for the City's housing and community services, representing the department at meetings, events, and conferences.
  11. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and legislative changes related to housing and community services, and make recommendations for implementation.
  12. Prepare and present reports and presentations to city officials, advisory boards, and other stakeholders to showcase the impact and success of housing and community services initiatives.
  13. Identify and pursue funding opportunities to support housing and community services programs and initiatives.
  14. Uphold a high level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards in all aspects of the job.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Public Administration, Urban Planning, Social Work, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Housing And Community Development, Preferably In A Municipal Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Laws And Regulations Related To Housing And Community Development Programs.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Community Groups, Government Agencies, And Other Stakeholders.

  • Strong Leadership And Project Management Abilities, With A Track Record Of Successfully Implementing And Managing Housing And Community Development Programs.
