  1. Manage the city's accounts receivable and billing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all transactions.
  2. Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to resolve any billing discrepancies and improve overall billing processes.
  3. Maintain detailed records of all accounts receivable and billing activities.
  4. Prepare and send out invoices to customers in a timely manner.
  5. Monitor and track payments from customers, following up on any delinquent accounts.
  6. Reconcile accounts receivable and billing records with the city's financial system.
  7. Create and maintain reports on accounts receivable and billing activities for management review.
  8. Stay up-to-date on relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to accounts receivable and billing in the public sector.
  9. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding billing inquiries and issues.
  10. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  11. Train and mentor new staff members on accounts receivable and billing processes.
  12. Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports related to accounts receivable and billing.
  13. Ensure compliance with internal controls and procedures related to accounts receivable and billing.
  14. Conduct periodic audits of accounts receivable and billing processes to identify and address any discrepancies or issues.
  15. Participate in cross-functional teams and projects related to financial operations and process improvement initiatives.
  16. Adhere to all city and departmental policies and procedures.
  17. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  18. Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and growth within the field of accounting and billing.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Accounting, Finance, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Accounts Receivable And Billing, Preferably In A Government Or Municipal Setting.
