  3. Draft and review legal documents, contracts, and ordinances on behalf of the city.
  4. Collaborate with city departments to develop and implement policies and procedures that align with legal requirements.
  5. Review and analyze proposed legislation and regulations to determine potential impact on the city.
  6. Monitor and stay up-to-date on relevant legal developments and changes in municipal law.
  7. Provide guidance to city employees on legal compliance and risk management.
  8. Participate in negotiations and settlements on behalf of the city.
  9. Manage a caseload and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
  10. Maintain accurate and organized legal records and documents.
  11. Work with external legal counsel and other government agencies as necessary.
  12. Communicate clearly and professionally with city officials, other attorneys, and community stakeholders.
  13. Uphold ethical standards and maintain confidentiality in all legal matters.

Job Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (Jd) Degree From An Accredited Law School.

  • Admission To The Washington State Bar Association.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience Practicing Law, Preferably In Municipal Or Government Law.

  • Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Local, State, And Federal Laws And Regulations.

  • Excellent Written And Oral Communication Skills, Including The Ability To Effectively Present Legal Advice And Information To Various Stakeholders.
