  • Develop and implement strategic HR initiatives to support the growth and development of the City of Seattle's workforce.
  • Manage and oversee a team of HR professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Collaborate with other department leaders to identify HR needs and develop solutions to improve the overall performance and effectiveness of the organization.
  • Stay updated on current HR trends, laws, and best practices to ensure the City of Seattle's HR policies and procedures are in compliance and reflect industry standards.
  • Foster a culture of inclusivity and excellence within the HR department and throughout the organization.
  • Oversee recruitment and hiring processes, ensuring that the City of Seattle attracts and retains top talent.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and resources to support the City of Seattle's HR goals and objectives.
  • Analyze and interpret HR data to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
  • Represent the HR division in meetings, presentations, and other public forums.
  • Collaborate with the HR Division Director to set and achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Serve as a role model and champion for the City of Seattle's values and mission.
  • Assist with budget planning and management for the HR division.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the HR Division Director.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Human Resources Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Hr Management, Preferably In A Government Or Public Sector Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Local, State, And Federal Employment Laws And Regulations.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Lead And Manage A Team.

  • Experience In Developing And Implementing Hr Policies And Procedures, As Well As Managing Employee Relations And Performance Management Processes.
