  1. Develop and implement strategies to advance the City of Seattle's legislative priorities and initiatives.
  2. Monitor and analyze relevant legislation and policies at the local, state, and federal levels and provide recommendations for action.
  3. Build and maintain relationships with elected officials, community leaders, and city departments to effectively represent the City of Seattle's interests.
  4. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and prioritize key issues and develop effective messaging and advocacy plans.
  5. Act as a liaison between the City of Seattle and external stakeholders, including government agencies, community organizations, and advocacy groups.
  6. Prepare and deliver clear and concise written and verbal communications, including testimony, briefings, and reports, to convey complex information to diverse audiences.
  7. Conduct research and provide analysis on key issues and legislation, and make recommendations for action.
  8. Represent the City of Seattle in meetings, hearings, and other forums to advocate for the city's priorities and initiatives.
  9. Stay up-to-date on current events and developments that may impact the City of Seattle and its residents.
  10. Promote and uphold the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of the job.
  11. Collaborate with other city departments and stakeholders to develop and implement equitable policies and initiatives.
  12. Maintain accurate records and documentation of all government relations activities.
  13. Continuously seek opportunities to improve and enhance the government relations process and procedures within the City of Seattle.

Job Qualifications
