
Parks Project Construction Manager

- Oversee and manage all phases of construction projects within the City of Seattle Parks Department, from planning to final completion.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and timelines, ensuring that all projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that project plans and designs meet the needs and standards of the City of Seattle.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with construction plans and safety regulations.
- Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during the course of a project.
- Communicate regularly with project team members, stakeholders, and community members to provide updates, address concerns, and gather feedback.
- Manage and maintain all project documentation, including contracts, permits, change orders, and other relevant paperwork.
- Monitor and track project expenses, and work closely with the finance department to ensure accurate budget management.
- Hire, train, and supervise a team of construction workers and contractors, ensuring that work is completed to the highest quality standards.
- Stay informed of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in construction management, and make recommendations for process improvements within the Parks Department.
Bachelor's Degree In Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Construction Project Management, Preferably In The Parks Or Public Works Sector.
Knowledge Of Construction Techniques, Materials, And Equipment Commonly Used In Park Development And Maintenance.
Strong Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Manage A Team And Work Collaboratively With Stakeholders.
Familiarity With Local, State, And Federal Regulations Related To Construction Projects, Including Environmental And Safety Requirements.
