Plan and implement a variety of recreational activities for community members of all ages.
Create and maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all participants.
Provide excellent customer service and assist participants with any needs or concerns.
Demonstrate enthusiasm and encourage active participation in all activities.
Collaborate with other Recreation Leaders and department staff to develop innovative and inclusive programs.
Adhere to all department policies and procedures, including safety protocols.
Maintain accurate attendance and activity records.
Assist with the set-up, clean-up, and maintenance of recreational equipment and facilities.
Act as a positive role model for participants, promoting healthy and active lifestyles.
Communicate effectively with participants, parents, and staff regarding program updates and any issues that may arise.
Continuously evaluate and make recommendations for program improvements.
Attend trainings and meetings as required by the department.
Uphold the mission and values of the City of Seattle's Parks and Recreation Department.
Foster a sense of community and promote inclusivity among participants.
Demonstrate a commitment to diversity and cultural competency in all aspects of the job.

Job Qualifications

Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work With Diverse Populations.
Bachelor's Degree In Recreation Management, Parks And Recreation, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Recreational Setting, Preferably In A Leadership Or Supervisory Role.
Strong Knowledge Of Recreational Activities, Programming, And Facilities.
Cpr And First Aid Certification, Or Willingness To Obtain Certification Within The First 3 Months Of Employment.
