  1. Manage and coordinate the City of Seattle's workers' compensation program.

  4. Communicate with employees, supervisors, and insurance carriers to provide updates and resolve issues related to workers' compensation claims.
  5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of workers' compensation claims and related documentation.
  6. Develop and implement strategies to reduce workplace injuries and promote employee safety.
  7. Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations related to workers' compensation.
  8. Conduct investigations into workplace accidents and injuries, and make recommendations for prevention.
  9. Stay informed about changes in workers' compensation laws and regulations and make necessary updates to policies and procedures.
  10. Provide exceptional customer service to employees, addressing questions and concerns related to workers' compensation.
  11. Train and educate employees and supervisors on workers' compensation policies and procedures.
  12. Analyze data and prepare reports on workers' compensation program effectiveness and costs.
  13. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  14. Represent the City of Seattle in workers' compensation hearings and appeals.
  15. Collaborate with insurance carriers, medical providers, and legal counsel to ensure efficient and effective management of workers' compensation claims.
  16. Act as a liaison between employees and the City of Seattle, advocating for fair and equitable treatment in workers' compensation matters.
