- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the city's wastewater treatment facilities and systems.
- Supervise and lead a team of operators, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to wastewater treatment and pollution control.
- Monitor and maintain the efficiency and effectiveness of treatment processes, making necessary adjustments and improvements as needed.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of equipment and instrumentation to ensure proper functioning.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures and safety protocols for the treatment facilities.
- Communicate with city officials, regulatory agencies, and community members regarding wastewater treatment operations and compliance.
- Investigate and troubleshoot any issues or malfunctions within the treatment systems.
- Keep accurate records and prepare reports on treatment operations, maintenance activities, and regulatory compliance.
- Stay informed and up-to-date on industry developments, new technologies, and best practices in wastewater treatment.
- Collaborate with other city departments and external stakeholders to improve and enhance wastewater treatment services.
- Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement among the team of operators.
- Participate in emergency response and disaster preparedness efforts related to wastewater treatment.

Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Water Pollution Control Operations, With At Least 3 Years At A Supervisory Level.
Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Science, Civil Or Environmental Engineering, Or A Related Field.
Valid Water Pollution Control Operator Certification From The California Water Environment Association (Cwea), At The Grade V Or Higher Level.
Strong Knowledge Of Local, State, And Federal Regulations Related To Water Pollution Control And Environmental Compliance.
Demonstrated Ability To Lead And Train A Team Of Operators, As Well As Manage A Budget And Prioritize Tasks In A Fast-Paced Environment.
