- Assist the legal team in conducting legal research and gathering relevant information for cases and projects.
- Review, organize, and maintain legal documents and files to ensure accurate recordkeeping.
- Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contracts.
- Coordinate and schedule meetings, hearings, and court appearances for attorneys.
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal matters.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of court documents and pleadings.
- Conduct investigations and gather evidence for legal cases.
- Keep track of deadlines and ensure all necessary paperwork is submitted on time.
- Perform administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, and maintaining office supplies.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in handling sensitive information.
- Collaborate with other departments and agencies to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may affect the city's operations.
- Provide support to attorneys in trial preparation and during court proceedings.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the legal team or supervisor.
Bachelor's Degree In Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Paralegal Role, Preferably In A Government Or Municipal Setting.
Knowledge Of Local, State, And Federal Laws And Regulations.
Strong Organizational Skills And Attention To Detail.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Attorneys, Court Personnel, And Other Relevant Parties.
