- Maintain accurate records of water usage, equipment readings, and any maintenance or repairs performed.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues that may arise.
- Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement strategies for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the water systems.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Water System Operator At City Of Tucson Must Have A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Understanding Of Math And Science, Which Are Crucial For Operating A Water System.
Water/Wastewater Operator Certification: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Valid Water/Wastewater Operator Certification From The State Of Arizona. This Certification Ensures That The Candidate Has The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Operate And Maintain A Water System.
Experience In Water System Operations: A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Water System Operations Is Preferred. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Good Understanding Of The Day-To-Day Operations Of A Water System And Can Effectively Troubleshoot Any Issues That May Arise.
