
Associate Counsel - Regulatory
At Cleveland Clinic, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate Counsel - Regulatory to join our legal team. In this role, you will work closely with the General Counsel and other organizations within the Clinic to ensure proper compliance with the various regulatory statutes and regulations. You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as a strong understanding of the legal field and the Cleveland Clinic's legal policies. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.The successful candidate must possess a Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school and have a minimum of three years of progressive regulatory and/or healthcare law experience. Experience in healthcare compliance, including HIPAA, Stark, and Anti-Kickback statutes, is preferred. Additionally, candidates must be licensed to practice law in the state of Ohio and must be in good standing with the Ohio Supreme Court.If you are an experienced attorney with a strong background in regulatory and healthcare law, we invite you to explore this exciting opportunity.
Responsibilities: • Provide legal advice on regulatory and healthcare law matters • Ensure compliance with various regulatory statutes and regulations • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts to support the Cleveland Clinic’s business activities • Provide guidance to the General Counsel on legal matters related to regulatory and healthcare law • Research and analyze legal issues and present findings to the General Counsel • Monitor changes in applicable laws and adjust practices accordingly • Develop and maintain relationships with external counsel, regulators, and other organizations • Serve as an effective liaison between the Cleveland Clinic and external stakeholders • Develop and implement practices and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations • Attend and participate in meetings, conferences, and seminars as needed • Develop and deliver training on regulatory and healthcare law matters to internal stakeholders • Prepare and present legal documents, memoranda, and other materials as needed
Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills
