As a Social Worker in our inpatient behavioral health unit, you will play a crucial role in providing support and resources to our patients and their families during their stay with us.   1. Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families during their stay in the inpatient behavioral health unit.
  2. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to assess patients' mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  3. Conduct psychosocial assessments and make appropriate referrals for additional services, such as therapy or support groups.
  4. Educate patients and their families on coping strategies and available community resources.
  5. Document patient progress and maintain accurate and confidential records.
  6. Participate in treatment team meetings and provide valuable insights and recommendations for patient care.
  7. Advocate for patients' rights and work towards empowering them to make informed decisions about their treatment.
  8. Facilitate family meetings and provide guidance and support to families of patients.
  9. Stay up-to-date on mental health laws, regulations, and ethical standards to ensure compliance in all aspects of job duties.
  10. Attend relevant trainings and conferences to enhance knowledge and skills in the field of behavioral health.
  11. Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and community organizations to coordinate post-discharge care.
  12. Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards patients, families, and colleagues.
  13. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  14. Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
  15. Continuously evaluate and adjust treatment plans based on patients' progress and needs.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Social Work From An Accredited Institution.

  • State Licensure As A Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Lcsw).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Behavioral Health Setting, Preferably In An Inpatient Setting.

  • Strong Understanding Of Mental Health Disorders And Treatment Modalities.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team.
