- Serve as the primary healthcare provider for all student-athletes within the Claymont School District at Cleveland Clinic.
- Implement injury prevention strategies and protocols to ensure the safety and well-being of student-athletes.
- Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of injuries and provide appropriate treatment and rehabilitation plans.
- Collaborate with coaches, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans for student-athletes.
- Educate student-athletes on injury prevention, proper nutrition, and overall health and wellness.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all student-athletes.
- Communicate regularly with parents, coaches, and athletic directors regarding the status of injured student-athletes and their progress.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements and best practices in athletic training and implement them in the school district's athletic program.
- Organize and coordinate medical coverage for all athletic events and competitions.
- Act as a mentor and resource for student-athletes, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their athletic goals.
- Adhere to all legal and ethical standards for athletic training and ensure compliance with state and district regulations.
- Actively participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in athletic training.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that promotes sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect for all athletes.
- Represent the Claymont School District at Cleveland Clinic in a professional and respectful manner at all times.
Bachelor's Degree In Athletic Training Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution.
Certification By The Board Of Certification (Boc) For Athletic Trainers.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Certified Athletic Trainer, Preferably In A School Setting.
Current Cpr And First Aid Certification.
Knowledge Of Current Best Practices In Athletic Training, Including Injury Prevention, Evaluation, Treatment, And Rehabilitation.
