  4. Stay up-to-date on current ethical issues and trends in healthcare to inform decision-making and policy development.
  5. Provide training and education to healthcare providers and staff on ethical principles and decision-making processes.
  6. Participate in ethics committees and review boards to evaluate and address ethical concerns related to research and patient care.
  7. Maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information related to ethical consultations.
  8. Serve as a resource for healthcare providers, patients, and their families on ethical issues and concerns.
  9. Conduct research and publish articles on ethical issues in healthcare to contribute to the field of medical ethics.
  10. Collaborate with community organizations and stakeholders to promote ethical practices and raise awareness about ethical issues in healthcare.
  11. Participate in the development of policies and procedures related to ethical decision-making and patient care.
  12. Maintain professional and ethical standards in all interactions and decision-making processes.
  13. Communicate with empathy and sensitivity when addressing ethical concerns and conflicts.
  14. Document ethical consultations and recommendations in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
  15. Serve as a role model for ethical behavior and decision-making for the organization.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Bioethics: A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Bioethics Or A Related Field Is Required For The Role Of Clinical Ethicist At Cleveland Clinic. This Ensures A Strong Foundation In Ethical Theory And Principles.

  • Clinical Experience: Candidates Must Have At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience Working In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Clinical Role. This Provides A Solid Understanding Of The Ethical Challenges And Complexities That Arise In A Medical Environment.

  • Ethical Decision-Making Skills: The Role Of A Clinical Ethicist Involves Providing Guidance And Recommendations For Ethical Dilemmas In Healthcare.
