  1. Prepare and dispense medication accurately and efficiently according to prescriptions and established protocols.
  2. Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective medication therapy for patients.
  3. Maintain inventory levels and order medications and supplies as needed.
  4. Utilize computer systems to enter and retrieve patient and prescription information.
  5. Answer phone calls and assist patients with questions and concerns regarding their medication.
  6. Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  7. Adhere to all state and federal regulations and guidelines for handling and dispensing medications.
  8. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote patient safety and efficiency.
  9. Follow proper procedures for medication storage, handling, and disposal.
  10. Participate in ongoing training and education to stay updated on new medications and industry developments.
  11. Collaborate with insurance companies and third-party payers to ensure accurate billing and reimbursement.
  12. Assist in resolving any medication-related issues or discrepancies.
  13. Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to provide education and instructions on medication use.
  14. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  15. Act as a positive representative of Cleveland Clinic by promoting our mission and values in all interactions with patients and colleagues.
