  1. Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks on buildings, equipment, and systems within the hospital campus.
  2. Monitor and address any safety hazards or malfunctions within the facilities in a timely manner.
  3. Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other building systems.
  4. Conduct regular inspections to identify potential maintenance issues and make necessary repairs.
  5. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
  6. Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely completion of maintenance requests and projects.
  7. Respond to emergency maintenance requests and prioritize tasks accordingly.
  8. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
  9. Assist with the installation of new equipment and systems as needed.
  10. Provide excellent customer service to all hospital staff and patients.
  11. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in building maintenance.
  12. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including those related to safety and infection control.
  13. Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  14. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure a smooth operation of the facilities.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Facilities Maintenance Technician I At Cleveland Clinic Must Have At Least A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education To Be Considered For The Position.

  • Previous Experience In Facilities Maintenance: Candidates Must Have A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In Facilities Maintenance, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Building Systems And Equipment: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Building Systems, Including Hvac, Plumbing, And Electrical Systems, As Well As Experience With Maintenance And Repair Of Equipment.

  • Ability To Read And Interpret Technical Manuals And Schematics: A Facilities Maintenance Technician I Must Be Able To Read And Interpret Technical Manuals And Schematics To Troubleshoot And Repair Equipment Effectively.

  • Physical Ability To Perform Maintenance Tasks: This Position Requires Physical Work, Including Lifting Heavy Objects, Climbing Ladders, And Standing For Extended Periods. Candidates Must Be Able To Meet The Physical Demands Of The Job.
