Job Description

At Cleveland Clinic, we are looking for a highly skilled and dedicated Clinical Pharmacist to join our team in the Investigational Drug Service. As a Clinical Pharmacist in this role, you will play a crucial role in the development and management of investigational drugs for patient care. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the safe and effective use of these drugs in clinical trials.   1. Develop and manage investigational drugs for patient care in accordance with regulatory guidelines and standard operating procedures.
  2. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure the safe and effective use of investigational drugs in clinical trials.
  3. Monitor patient responses and drug interactions to ensure optimal patient care.
  4. Provide drug information and education to patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
  5. Maintain accurate and thorough records of investigational drug usage and patient outcomes.
  6. Monitor and report any adverse drug reactions or safety concerns to the appropriate parties.
  7. Participate in the review and analysis of clinical trial protocols and provide recommendations for drug therapy.
  8. Participate in the review and development of investigational drug policies and procedures.
  9. Stay up-to-date on current research and developments in investigational drugs and incorporate new knowledge into practice.
  10. Collaborate with the pharmacy team to maintain appropriate inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of investigational drugs.
  11. Provide guidance and training to pharmacy and healthcare staff on investigational drug protocols and procedures.
  12. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research projects related to investigational drugs.
  13. Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards.
  14. Demonstrate a commitment to patient safety and ethical conduct in all aspects of job performance.
  15. Maintain a high level of professionalism and represent the organization in a positive manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Doctor Of Pharmacy (Pharmd) Degree From An Accredited School Of Pharmacy.

  • Completion Of A Post-Graduate Pharmacy Residency Program (Pgy1 Or Pgy2) With A Focus On Clinical Pharmacy.

  • Active Pharmacist Licensure In The State Of Ohio (Or Ability To Obtain Within 90 Days Of Hire).

  • Board Certification In Pharmacotherapy (Bcps) Or Other Relevant Specialty (E.g. Bcop, Bcccp).

  • At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience Working As A Clinical Pharmacist In An Investigational Drug Service Or Research Setting.
