Join our team at Cleveland Clinic as an LPN Ambulatory in our Plastic Surgery department.   1. Provide exceptional patient care: The LPN in this role will be responsible for providing high-quality and compassionate care to patients undergoing plastic surgery procedures. This includes performing tasks such as taking vitals, administering medication, and assisting with pre- and post-operative care.
  2. Assist in surgical procedures: The LPN will work closely with the plastic surgeon and other members of the healthcare team to assist in surgical procedures. This may include preparing and sterilizing equipment, setting up the operating room, and providing support to the surgeon during the procedure.
  3. Educate patients: The LPN will be responsible for educating patients on their surgical procedures, post-operative care, and any potential risks or complications. This may also include providing resources and support to help patients make informed decisions about their treatment.
  4. Maintain accurate records: It is crucial for the LPN to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories, pre- and post-operative care plans, and any complications or concerns that arise during treatment.
  5. Collaborate with healthcare team: The LPN will work closely with other healthcare professionals, such as surgeons, registered nurses, and medical assistants, to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to patient care.
  6. Provide emotional support: The LPN will be responsible for providing emotional support to patients before, during, and after their procedures. This may include helping them manage their anxiety, answering questions, and addressing any concerns they may have.
  7. Follow safety procedures: The LPN will be responsible for following all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe and sterile environment for patients and healthcare staff. This may include proper handling and disposal of medical waste and maintaining infection control standards.
  8. Stay up-to-date on industry developments: The LPN will be expected to stay current on advancements in plastic surgery and nursing practices, attending training and continuing education opportunities as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Lpn License In The State Of Ohio: The Candidate Must Hold A Valid And Current Lpn License In The State Of Ohio, As Required By The Ohio Board Of Nursing.

  • Experience In Ambulatory Care: The Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In An Ambulatory Care Setting, Preferably In A Plastic Surgery Clinic.

  • Knowledge Of Plastic Surgery Procedures: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Various Plastic Surgery Procedures, Including Pre-Operative And Post-Operative Care, Wound Care, And Patient Education.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Lpn Should Possess Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Their Families, And Other Members Of The Healthcare Team.

  • Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: The Candidate Must Be Able To Multitask And Work Efficiently In A Fast-Paced, High-Volume Plastic Surgery Clinic, While Maintaining Attention To Detail And Providing Quality Patient Care.
