Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced and compassionate LPN to join our Emergency Department team at Cleveland Clinic. The successful candidate will be a key part of our healthcare team, responsible for providing medical care and support to our patients in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. We’re looking for a team player who is dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of our patients and their families. To be successful in this role, you will need to have a current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Ohio, a minimum of one year of experience in an emergency room setting, and excellent clinical and organizational skills. You will also need to have excellent communication skills, be able to think quickly and efficiently in a high-stress environment, and have the ability to make decisions in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and a commitment to providing the highest quality of care.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide medical care and support to patients and families in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  2. Evaluate patient health and determine appropriate medical action.
  3. Monitor and record patient vital signs.
  4. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician.
  5. Collaborate with physicians and other members of the healthcare team in order to provide optimal patient care.
  6. Ensure that all patient records are maintained in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  7. Maintain current knowledge of healthcare procedures and best practices.
  8. Respond quickly and efficiently to emergency situations.
  9. Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and their families.
  10. Perform other related duties as assigned.
